Here come the Girls!

With yet another fantastic darts competition in Selsey passing us by Online Darts is now starting to feel more like the norm. I do still struggle to focus and concentrate when you have to call out your scores but I am getting more used to it.

I have been pitting my wits in mixed pairs with Chizzy and against the men and having some great results.

I find I have very few nerves playing the men now. So far in the local Mens premier league I have now hit a total of 61 x 100+, 21 140+ and 2 x 180 from a total of 10 games. Now was the time to give a girls comp a whirl. I joined Top Gun Promotions Ladies Premiership league to take on ladies from all over the UK.

This league includes a vast cross section of darters from Current & Former Internationals to more frequent Online Darts competitors. My paths have crossed with some of these ladies before, but with others not, so I felt a few nerves.

My first game against Fluffy Debbie Waugh was a good one. I snook victory 3.1 despite Debbie launching a come back with a nice 180.

My second game was against the lovely Josie Paterson. We have played each other a few times. More recently it had been myself out on top however this game went all the way. My scoring was good but my finishing let me down, let Josie in and she took them out without hesitation.

Third game lucky...Maybe not! I did not get a sniff really. I drew "The Wench" Angie Mann. Her darts appeared to have magnets in them for the treble 20. She never missed a thing. Taking the 3rd leg with a fantastic 101 check out and racking up an 86 average! Amazing average. Fab game despite being on the receiving end of a walloping.

My fourth game was against Scottish International Lorraine Hyde. I have seen Lorraine at several competitions but I don't recall ever playing her. After my previous game I really needed to re compose and go again. After another tight battle I managed to pinch victory 3.2 despite an awesome 84 checkout on Bull in the equalizing leg by Lorraine

My final game was against Top Gun Promotions own Claire Stamper. It was a quite erratic game with only a handful of high scores but I managed to take a final 3.0 win.

There are some great games being played out there. Just goes to show the Ladies can do it too!

Online darts has also enabled me to extend my darts family by meeting and playing new people.

Bring on the completion of the Morecambe Mens Premier league ( where I am currently in a qualifying position, to a third Mixed pair stint with Chizzy and week 2 of Ladies league.
