The Darts restarts - New season beginning

September 7th saw me head back to Selsey to try get yet more experience playing in the big competitions. I had an extremely tough draw in the singles. My first game saw me take on Anastasia Dobromislova. I set off confidently but I just missed the double in the first leg to go against the throw & 1 nil up. I won the next two legs leaving me 2.1 up. A great battle began. Scoring well but the doubles eluding me. I ended up losing 3.2 and was given a great compliment by Anastasia saying I was so unlucky.

Undeterred I moved on to the second day of the singles competition facing Warwickshire county player Wendy Adams. I won that game 3.0 but then came up against another awesome darting lady, friend and my former Lancashire captain Lisa Ashton. I stayed with Lisa on a couple of legs, just wiring the doubles but eventually lost 4.0. I don't think any of her legs were over 18 darts. You can't argue with that at all!

Sunday was the day for pairs and myself and current Lancashire darting captain & close friend Ally Smith fancied our chances. Again we had a tough draw. Starting our march against an old friend Linda Ittharalde and Anne Marie Potts. We stormed through 3.0 playing some awesome darts. I was finishing well.

Second game saw me again meet Anastasia, but this time partnered with Corrine Hammond. We forged on taking this game 3.1. We then came up against the Dutch pair including Anca Zilstra. This wasn't our best game with us just hitting dbl 11 instead of dbl 8 for another 3.1 victory. However Anca's partner's finishing was on point too and we ended up marginally defeated 3.2 and bowing out in last 8. Winning £50.

We headed home ready to start the 2018-19 season for Lancashire's Red Army. I am looking forward to our first game against the great team of Cheshire. County darts is where I get to see all my friends whom feel just like a family. County is also the time the Three Wise Monkeys get together and have fun.

As 1 season closes another one begins. I want to give special thanks again to my sponsors for the 2017 - 2018 finished season.

THANK YOU!

Lee Jackson of W&J Plasterers for sponsoring my last county season.

If anyone knows of anyone who would be prepared to support and sponsor me so I can go again bigger and better this new season then please feel free to give them my website information and ask them to send me a message.
