The annual Easter darts competition at my Superleague venue Morecambe Cricket club attracted some big names as usual in both the ladies and gents fields.
With ladies and mens singles competitions played out during the day also with the inclusion of the blind pairs competitions to give everyone regardless of result another chance to taste victory.
Some of my Lancashire team mates were there to chance their arms. Like our county family I was looked after and spurred on by Wes " The Warrior " Newton and Fleetwood's own and MCC Mens Open victor Lee Shewan.
With a tough ladies field, first facing my Superleague team mate Julie Carradus, I hit a good 15 dart leg I then faced had to get past Kendal's own Camilla Bainbridge. Next round I had to overcome Yorkshire county player Louise Stockings in a nail biting game ending 3.2 in my favour.
Ladies final was against the fantastic young and talented Irish International Robyn Byrne. Robyns scoring was electric however as the famous saying goes scoring for show, doubles for dough. I became the 2018 ladies champion with a 4.1 victory.
Lancashire teammates do the double!
